Available Next Year at Life Quality BMW: The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe

The BMW 6 Series is famous for its distinctive front fascia, sloping roofline and distinguished curves and lines. The TwinPower Turbo V8 power plant under the hood of the coupe boasts 400 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque. The 0-60 sprint time of the 6 Series is an impressive 4.9 seconds. And when you slow down, you don't waste energy, as it's captured and used to recharge the car's battery. Plus, you can experience different driving modes in Normal, Sport or Sport+, with heightened engine response and tighter steering. How could BMW possibly make this sport coupe any better?
How about with two more doors? For 2013, the 640i Coupe, 650i Coupe, 650i xDrive Coupe, 640i Convertible and 650i xDrive Convertible are all getting a four-door sibling: The BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. It will share most everything with rest of the 6 Series line, but it will be a tad bit longer, with more comfort for passengers and, yes, more doors.
You'll find the inside as well-equipped as the other BMW Coupes, with a 10.2-inch LCD screen, sweeping dashboard lines, and the same collection of technology and features available across the 6 Series. That includes iDrive and the Driving Experience Button that will allows drivers to choose between Comfort, Sport and Eco Pro driving modes.
To set it apart some more from the other models in the lineup, the automaker has developed a design theme that will remain exclusive to the BMW Gran Coupe. Drive who choose this theme will find an Opal White leather accented interior complimented by the Amaro Brown leather-appointed dashboard and door sills.
What else can you expect from the 6 Series in 2013? Official EPA estimates haven't been released, but we're thinking you can expect something in the 21 mpg city/31 mpg highway range. And of course, stability control, 360-degree Top View Camera and blind-spot warning systems. Add the M Sport package for new fascias and side skirts, black-chrome exhaust tips, black brake calipers, 19-inch wheels, leather seats and steering wheel.
The BMW 640i Gran Coupe is slated to hit BMW showrooms like Life Quality BMW early in the summer of 2012, with the 650i Gran Coupe and 650i xDrive Gran Coupe following shortly after. That said, be sure to stay tuned with us for more news and updates. As always, feel free to stop in and see us at 9326 4th Ave Brooklyn, NY 11209 to take a tour of the entire new BMW lineup.
